Which movies and TV shows has Rumer Willis been in? Last year Rumer Willis – the eldest daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore – placed fifth in the first season of Fox’s reality singing competition The Masked Singer. Disguised in a blinged-out lion costume, Willis impressed viewers with her renditions of songs like Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” and Lady Gaga’s “Diamond Heart” before she was finally unmasked in the eighth week of the show.
To anyone following Rumer Willis’ career so far, her reveal on The Masked Singer didn’t come as too big a surprise as she’s already demonstrated her talent for singing in the past. In 2015 she played Roxie Hart in a Broadway production of Chicago and – more recently – had a two-season stint playing troubled, Amy Winehouse-inspired songstress Tory Ash on Fox drama Empire before the character was killed off in season 5.
Her star may have risen considerably in recent years, but Rumer Willis has been acting since she was a child. She made her debut alongside her mother Demi Moore in 1995 coming-of-age film Now And Then and later played her on-screen daughter in 1996’s Striptease. She’s also shared screen time with her dad Bruce Willis in black comedy The Whole Nine Yards and played his on-screen daughter in 2005 thriller Hostage.
During the late aughts, Rumer Willis had roles in a handful of feature films. In 2008 she played nerdy sorority sister Joanne in Anna Faris-fronted comedy The House Bunny and cursed teenager Natalie in horror movie From Within. The following year she played high schooler Katlyn in teen comedy Wild Cherry and another sorority sister named Ellie in horror remake Sorority Row. Willis also had guest roles in shows including CSI: NY, Medium and The Secret Life Of The American Teenager.
Her other notable TV roles include a ten-episode arc playing gay high school student Gia Mannetti in 90210 and a two-episode stint playing Max Bergman’s (Masi Oka) love interest Sabrina Lane in Hawaii Five-0. She’s also had cameos as a tattoo artist/drug dealer named Lisa in a season 3 episode of Workaholics and as a charity worker named Zoe in season 4 of Pretty Little Liars. The Masked Singer wasn’t her only foray into reality TV either; in 2015, she won the twentieth season of dance competition Dancing With The Stars alongside her professional partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
Over the past decade, Rumer Willis’ film career has covered a wide range of genres. She starred in indies like The Diary Of Preston Plummer and The Odd Way Home, comedies The Escort and There’s Always Woodstock and thrillers Woman On The Edge and What Lies Ahead. She showed off her singing talents once again in the movie musical Hello Again and dipped her toes into the action genre with Air Strike – which also starred Bruce Willis – and Future World. Most recently, she played actress Joanna Pettet in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
